Stone House in Manassas

Today we took a walk through the Stone house in Manassas Battlefield.  They allowed us inside and upstairs!  Apparently, when they fly a red flag above the doorway, they are open for viewings.  We had a great time afterwards walking the Matthews Hill Trail.

Absynth 5 and Guitar Rig 5

This is a cheesy little grind (7/8 into 4/4… why?  because I can).  That said I’m really liking Guitar Rig 5.  I’ve tinkered with Logic’s Amp Designer and no doubt the amps are nice.  However, Guitar Rig has so many preset options that are rediculously nice!  Combine this with Shreddage X and whoala (cheesy time change metal!!)  Now Absynth 5 seems to be a bottomless pit of great customisable options.  However, I can’t help feeling like a kid sitting in a Ferrari.

I’m using Shreddage X and Steven Slate Drums for this. Really happy with the sound on Shreddage X. I played with double tracking got a better guitar sound.

UPDATE:  I used Guitar Rig for the guitars this time.  Slightly better I think.

We’re headed out to Iron Bridge Restaurant & Wine Company in Warrenton.  This place has hands down, some of the best lollipop lamb chops a man could want.  They’re so good, that I proudly say without reservation, lollipop lamb chops.
